Hi George ~ It's similar around here and I find myself thinking what a difference a day makes when I look outside.  You've got really green grass under that snow. More's on the way around here or so I hear.

George, It looks like you need to keep all kinds of coats at hand!  What a wacky year (09) of weather we have had so far!  I imagine 2010 will bring the same surprises.  Happy 2010 George!

George, your yard maintenance is impeccable. My back yard was white on Dec 20 and is just as white today. I'm wishing for that January thaw. Happy New year

It looks a lot like what we get here in the WDC area.  The amount of snow we've had this year is the most in the previous 10, usually its just ice.  Either way, I can't wait for spring.

Mary I think you are right about 2010 today was more of the same.

Judy, we got off easy compared to you guys.  Have fun shoveling all the white fluffy stuff :)

Fran, it has been so cold that you probably could where all your outfits at the same time just to stay warm :) :)

Ed, a January thaw would be very very welcomed.

Michael, I would rather have the snow than the ice.  I don't like the ice.  I have had a couple of bad experiences with ice and I get off the road now when it happen.  Stay safe.

George, don't you just hate the inconsistency? One minute it's cold like it's supposed to be, the next, it's warm and balmy. Ugh! Pneumonia weather. But I like having the snow, I just wish it would come on a school day so I can have the day off...

Joan, we go through changes every year, but this year the differences in the weather have been huge.

Ann, yeasterday the weather was flurries all day long and the temperature was 17 degrees.

Ray, you are right my friend, there is nothing that we can do about it so we might as well accept it.

William, I see you are still just a big kid looking for those school closing days ......... LOL

Jen thank you and the same to you.

No fluffy stuff for me...had enough in the late 70's in North Dakota and the mid 80's in Plattsburgh, NY. No wonder I ended up back home all the time lol

Hello George, I was looking at your photos and that could just as well be the area I lived in just outside Chicago.  Grass can be green almost all year round...one day green grass and the next a foot of snow.

For now, here in Alabama, I think we are beginning to turn a corner in regards to the weather.
