Change the feel of Your Home with New Light FixturesNew Light Fixtures

Today we installed New Light Fixtures and it has given our home a totally new feel.  It is Amazing. It has a totally new look.  I am SO PUMPED. When we bought our home a little over a year ago, a developer had purchased the home from the previous owner.  This developer had neutralized the walls, switched most of the brass hardware for brushed nickel and "updated" the light fixtures in the dining room, breakfast area and foyer.  Typically this is an improvement, because replacing the light fixtures can make the house look more up to date, HOWEVER, the fixtures were WAY undersized for the space and were a real turn off.  We knew when we bought the house that they HAD TO GO.

First we shopped all over town and when we thought we were close, we spent several hours on the internet before we settled on these fixtures we found at In Line Lighting and Electric. Their showroom is located just south of Riverchase where HWY 119 dead ends into HWY 31.  Mary Margaret Coggin was our lighting consultant and she was fabulous!  My husband and I have very different opinions of what looks good in a light fixture and she was able to point us in the right direction and let us find "just the right thing" without being pushy AT ALL.  They have several fixtures on display and lots of books to look through as well. She even came out to our house to make sure what we had picked would fit and look right.  She really made me feel comfortable about the change and our choice in light fixtures.

Once we had chosen the light fixtures we had to order them and wait for delivery.  Finally, today was the big installation day.  I know there are a lot of DIYs out there, but I say HIRE AN ELECTRICIAN.  Our go-to guy there was Tommy Herbert at Abear Electric. They had 6 fixtures installed before lunch.  The fixtures we purchased were excellent quality and Tommy's installation was A-1, too.Realtor Toni Bird

If you are trying to Sell Your Home here in Hoover, Alabama or the Greater Birmingham area you have a lot of competition. Why not change the feel of your home with New Light Fixtures.  The fixtures you see when you enter the home set the tone for the whole house.  Replacing the Foyer and Dining Room fixtures will give your home a new, updated feel and make it more appealing to today's buyer.  We were able to see beyond the horrible fixtures that were in our house, and now have fixtures that we really LOVE, but many buyers can't and it could cost you a sale.

I know what you mean Toni!

I believe we sold one of our homes because we installed a beautiful chandelier in the entry and dining room! Door knobs, hinges, faucets are all subtle enhancements that make a big difference.

Thanks for the post
