The Country vs. City Debate

countryside My top 10 reasons why country living is better than City life. Some of the points I make here are a complete generalization, and all are from personal experiences, and not intended to offend.

•1)      If you have pets then they have more room to roam, and you can take your dog for a walk ‘off leash' if your property is large enough.

•2)      Country folk are more courteous than City folk. They will chat to you if you make the effort, and will not let a door slam in your face as they enter through it.

•3)      The local Butcher/Baker/Candlestick maker will ask you your name and get to know what your preferences are.

•4)      There is a substantial decrease in the amount of dust in the home when living in the country.

•5)      Your neighbours are generally friendlier.

•6)      The drive home is more relaxing.

•7)      Less people live in the area = less crime.

•8)      You get to witness more of our beautiful surroundings and wildlife on a regular basis.

•9)      You are closer to outdoor recreational activities such as boating, sledding, skiing and hiking.

•10)   The air smells better.

city  Now having lived in the City in the past, I have to admit to some of the reasons why City life is better than Country living...

•1)      You can just stumble home from the bar.

•2)      Everything you need to buy is within a short distance from you.

•3)      Larger selection of great restaurants.

•4)      Food shopping doesn't have to be done all at once.

•5)      Friends and family will turn up at your parties because there is somewhere close to stay.

•6)      You get delivery.

•7)      For those who want it there is always something going on.

•8)      Close to major airports.

•9)      You have public transport.

•10)   You do not need worry about bears.

That won't happen because roads in the country are usually made of rocks.
