The Right Person for the Job

With Real Estate professionals entrusted with so much responsibility of leading and coaching a purchaser or seller in the right directions, I believe that it is imperative that we become The Right Person for the Job.

When the client is scared about getting a mortgage, Are you connecting them to the right person for the job? Are we connecting them to someone that can get them into the programs for first time home-buyers or can help them improve their credit score.  Are you connected to credit mortgage representatives that can even educate you along the way so that when you are interacting with clients you can point them in the right direction?

When the client wants to sell there home, do you have a good marketing strategy or are you just praying for a miracle?  With the market the way it is are you letting your clients know up  front that their home has to be set apart from the rest in order to sell immediately. Do you have the conviction to give it to your clients straight up if they need to make improvements or tidy up the landscaping?

I could go on but the i guess the gist of all this is: Are you the right person for the job?

Thanks for the post. Having a portfolio of professionals at your disposal helps you to create the right team to help you customer or client. Each opportunity is different and requires it's own expertise, thus the "right team".

Great point. I wonder how many agents take the time to sit down with mortgage brokers and learn about the programs they offer for clients.

Confidence in your team of professionals - lender, home inspector, stager - is so important.  If you don't have experience with any good pros yourself, ask the top producers in your office who they use.  Contact those people and schedule 15 minutes to get to know them.  Tell them you're relatively new, and you will rely upon their expertise.  Ask them if they have time to mentor new agents (some won't, and it's better to know that upfront).  The people you surround yourself with will help determine if YOU are the right person for the job!
