Moose Monday - How Much Do You Love Your Moose?

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Realty Services Inc.

Hello Active Rain Friends,

How is Monday treating you?

We hope that you who were blasted with yet another huge snow storm are all okay.  British Columbia would love some of that stuff for the Winter Olympics.  Has it warmed up in Florida yet?  Are the flowers growing in California?

We were really wondering how many people out there love their Moose.  Seeing it is Moose Monday we wanted to share this photo sent to us by one of our dear Canadian friends, a real genuine Moose lover...

Al and Peggy,

This is too funny.  I had logged on to post exactly the same photo (not kidding) and what do I see when I click on your Monday post?  The same moose!  I was going to title it: "Moose Monday - Please don't try this at home!"

I got the photo via email through a friend of mine just days ago and I was informed it was a Canadian moose (but I was not provided with the exact location of the sighting).  I thought for sure, it deserved to be on Moose Monday.  I patiently waited till Monday and little did I know, that my Canadian Buds who woke a little earlier than me (also helped by the fact that they are in a different time zone and a couple of hours ahead) beat me to it.  Well, at least I am glad that the photo of the Canadian moose get posted by Canadians living in Canada.   :-)

I remember the tasty Moose Munch.   Thanks for sharing some.

Now, I got to find a new photo to share for my Moose Monday post!

Now isn't that only appropriate with Valentines' day coming up. Moose aren't common at all in Ct, but there have been sightings. Maybe a pet moose looking for a favorite someone that moved from up north? Unrequited love, how sad.

Al and Peggy, I don't think that would be my idea of fun, swapping spit with a Moose.  Nope I think I will pass on that one ......... LOL

What a great picture.  I've never seen a real live moose but I'd love too.

I remember the Moose in the back yard in Prince George. Thanks for the memories. The only moose I've near since is Moose Milk.

Hi Al & Peggy,

I too think it's a great photo. Not that I would be kissing a Moose. Thanks for sharing.

That's a touching photo--to be that close to such a huge animal.  By the way, I am a fan of Moose Munch.

Al & Peggy, the gentleman must feel very comfortable with wild animals or has known this moose for a long while.  It's a beautiful animal but it is wild.

I knew the wildlife in Alaska like to rub noses with the Eskimoses, but it's usually much smaller wildlife. Maybe as you get to bigger countries, you start rubbing noses with bigger wildlife.

I've been up and close and personal with a moose in Yosemite, but I didn't stop to kiss it.  In fact, I ran as fast as my little feet could carry me in the opposite direction with a thirty pound baby on my back.  Not as fast as I wanted.  and backwards because I didn't want him charging toward the little one!  That guy is a lot braver than I would be!  Great photo!

Unbelievable!  I had heard that moose are pretty ill tempered; but seeing one interact with a human in that way sort of filters that knowledge a bit:-)
