There's nothing to it....but to do it.

Just about everyone I know has a personal dream or goal.   These are often secrets that we keep close to ourselves and not share with even our closest loved ones.    We hold these ambitions deep in side ourselves and yearn for the day they will become reality.

We look at the success of others living their dream and wonder why not us.    Well......there's a reason why others achieve their dreams and the road is rarely easy.

I like to use the example of a top athlete standing on the podium showing off a gold medal.  What the public sees is in the moment.    What's not seen are the years of intense labor that went into the achievement.

Nothing comes from nothing.    Michelangelo is quoted as saying, "If you knew how much work went into it, you wouldn't call it genius."

There is a vast difference between working hard...and working smart.   Every athlete, every business leader, every winner has a carefully thought out plan which they work at every day.   In this plan they don't expect immediate results, but they do have a clear vision of where they're headed.

Success is a series of very tiny steps over considerable period time.   It begins with making a written plan and sticking with it.  Your motivation plays an important part.

Too many give up, just when their goals are in closest reach.
