You CAN roller skate in a buffalo herd.....if you've a mind to.

Seems like I've been preaching about taking a solid hour of "Think Time" every evening forever.

Hands up!!   How many actually take an hour every evening to reflect on the day gone by and write down attainable goals for the new day coming?

My guess would be very few.   Those who do not practice this routine are often the same ones who blame the economy for their lack of sales.   Right in your own community there are Realtors who are thriving because they develop a nightly game plan for the next day.

We sell a lot of TailGateTags, not only to Realtors but to everyone in business.    What do you imagine our sales would be like if we just drifted from day to day with no strategy or nightly forethought for the next day.....or week?     Does zero flash instantly to mind???

It doesn't matter what business you're in everyone needs to reserve time out of their busy day to regroup, relax and put their thoughts in order.

Why write your ideas down?    When thoughts are written down they become much clearer in the mind.    They're also not forgotten as you have a written record to refer to throughout the day.   Making a "to do" list allows you to follow through with your plans in an orderly efficient manner, which leaves more free time for other things.....like blog writing or adding to your Popsicle stick collection.

Make each one of your written goals attainable.   It's important to succeed at what you plan.   As your goals are attained, raise the bar slightly each day and week with more difficult challenges which are attainable.

Much like a pole vaulter who is constantly raising the bar to go even higher.    Practice winning!!

Every sports team, corporation, fund raising charity....etc etc.. has a carefully prepared game plan for success.  It's fundamental...   It's basic.    It's the most ground level necessity for anyone with any hope of achieving.

And yet.....most Realtors never take the time to develop a nightly strategy to see them through the next day.

It's not the economy that holds people back....it's the lack of thoughtful strategies to deal with reality.

Thanks.  Sincerely, David

It's funny, I don't take an hour but most of my thinking and writing happens on the highway.

A quick note will remind me of the idea or strategy for the time when I can write it all down.

Enjoy the day

David...I'm amazed that more agents don't show excitement over your product....I don't understand it.....I spend thousands, literally, every month to get listings via direct mail and it works, but I also have tailgate tags and license plate frames and have had listings from that too.....your way is certainly cheaper!!!

Reflecting on the day, making a list of things to accomplish for the next, is practical advice.  I've heard it before, yet I've not been doing it.  I'm sure it will make a difference in my success.  I'll start tonight.  Thanks for the motivation.
