Routine Homeowner Maintenance

By
Home Inspector with King of the House Home Inspection, Inc

Here in the northwest gutters are an important part of the home. We have heavy rains and the gutters capture the runoff water and then distribute it to the ground below through a system of downspouts.

When organic debris from trees collects on the roof, and then runs down the valleys and to gutters below, you can end up with water overflowing the gutters and an assortment of other problems.

Simple homeowner maintenance is an essential part of home ownership, whether the work is done by the owner or if it is hired out.

Thanks for stopping by,

Thanks for the reminder Steven.   I cleaned my gutters last fall, but after all our rains, I'm sure I need to do it again.

When debris gets really bad, does it move up the chart to eebris or febris?  When it's really, really bad, is it hubris?
