Baseball Season is Under Way - A New Class of Slugger's Joins the Game in Georgetown, Texas

The baseball season is now in full swing.  This year is especially important for us because our son is playing baseball for the first time.  Well T-Ball but conceptually the same thing!

Here he is!

Baseball Season - Georgetown, Texas

As you can see he, he has signed a one season deal with the 4 and Up T-Ball Red Sox.

Last night the GYBA players were allowed to take the field with the Georgetown Eagle ballplayers for the national anthem.

To complete their indoctrination into the world of baseball they were given a hotdog and a drink and sent to the stands to watch the game.

This is as exciting a time for us as parents as it is for our son.  He loves to practice and play this newfound sport.

And, who knows, in 15 years our little slugger and his teammates could be signing for real with their new teams!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend,

Great Picture Andy,

Some of my best memories are when I coached Tball, and Little League.  It's fun for me now to keep up with those kids.. well young men now.   I'd encourage you to get as involved as you can.

Sports is where it's at if you want your children to make lots of money to support you in your old age. LOL

Andy, Congratulation!  Gerat picture, enjoy it while you can.

The athlete in my family got a late start in baseball, didn't like it much, did very well in basketball and golf, didn't like either, tried soccer, said it was too much running, and finally settled with football.  It was great watching him throughout high school...thought he would continue in college.  After all, I played college ball.  I guess I will not be watching him in the pros.  He is a good student though!  Second year engineering major at a very prestigious college back east. I guess I'll just settle for his profession as an engineer.

Andy: What a great time to share with your son. We have been there with our two son's and now with our grandchildren. The little one's are fun to watch.

Andy - Congratulations on your son's interest in baseball. I hope this lends itself to spending alot of time together playing catch.

Well, personally I hope he never signs with the Red Sox. The Astros, Rangers, A's, or Padres would be much more to my liking. But, hey, you have to go where the money is! LOL

Love the photos of the little slugger. You have one adorable young man and so much to be proud of. Keep enjoying each day..it goes by so fast. Happiness is a kid at a ballgame. You captured it beautifully.
