Perils of Purple Periwinkle in April in Sammamish, It's Snailing!

Periwinkle in the snow

A recent Wordless Wednesday post showed a Periwinkle blossom in our yard.  Today that flower is covered in an unusual April snow shower.  December through March we had little if any snow.  Today we've had periodic showers of snow, sleet and hail certain to eclipse whatever totals we had this winter.

More Periwinkles in the snow

Our youngest came home from school and said, "it's snailing outside."

It's Snaling, Snow/Hail

Cindy, We'll have beautiful weather soon, in the mean time its transition time.

Ann, My son let me know he didn't invent it, he said all the kids at school were saying it.

Pam, You're in transition weather time too.

Love it... snail... great term. I love these kind of spring days. It's greening up big time. Nice photos.

We had snow out in the mountains last weekend. I hopped in the car to head out there, a 75-mile drive, but there was a 75-mile traffic jam. Seems everyone else had the same idea, so I came back and Played in the Rain.
