While traveling, a young man stops at a roadside rest to use the bathroom. When he comes out to his car less than 4-5 minutes later, someone had gotten into his car and stolen ..... you name it.

Is there a device now in use to clone your security code when you lock the doors on your car using your key-chain locking device?
Can they sit a distance away and watch for their next victim knowing you are going inside of the store, restaurant, or bathroom and that they now have a few minutes to get into your car?
There have been emails circulating the Internet now for a couple of years saying this has happened.
After reading some of the information found by doing a google search for"keeloq encryption" and a variety of other terms I believe it is possible but not worth the effort as a good car thief can be into any automobile and gone in less than 2 minutes.
