Welcome to the written blog and check out our daily video joke and blog which is posted around noon time on  www.paraquatkelley.com  Click on podcasts in upper right corner.  We've got another long...good one today.

Thursday and the skies are grey.  We like the fact that we're getting a little sprinkle here and there.   It's going to get warmer as we move into the weekend... the 70's!  Here's the forecast.

  • Today: Considerable cloudiness with occasional rain showers. Thunder possible. High 63F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 60%.
  • Tonight: A shower or two around the area early, then partly cloudy overnight. Low 49F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 30%.
  • Tomorrow: Some clouds in the morning will give way to mainly sunny skies for the afternoon. High 69F. SE winds shifting to WSW at 10 to 15 mph.
  • Tomorrow night: Mainly clear skies. Low 53F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
  • Saturday: Partly cloudy. Highs in the low 70s and lows in the mid 50s.
  • Sunday: Mainly sunny. Highs in the low 70s and lows in the mid 50s.
  • Monday: Abundant sunshine. Highs in the low 70s and lows in the mid 50s.

Let's hear it for the Dodgers... they sure can produce runs.  I believe they lead the majors in team batting average.  The Angels let one slide yesterday... The Lakers hope to silent the Thunder this afternoon!  American Idol "gave back" last night...  I don't know, we respect the concept but it was hard to watch.  Elton John is getting old... like the rest of us.  Annie Lennox is a wonderful performer and prson... love her.

Here's a news item; remember this comes from government data; so no telling if the figures are accurate.  It's terrible to even think that but everything is politics these days.  Robert Gibbs, White House spin doctor/spokesman makes me nervous.

Statement from Commerce Secretary Gary Locke on New Residential Construction in March 2010

WASHINGTON-The Commerce Department's U.S. Census Bureau today released new residential construction data for March 2010. Permits for new housing units jumped 7.5 percent in March, housing starts increased 1.6 percent in March and starts in February were revised up considerably. Permits have advanced 37.6 percent and starts have risen 30.7 percent above their low points in April 2009. "The good news is that housing permits and starts came in above expectations and are up substantially from their lows last year," Commerce Secretary Gary Locke said. "But housing data can be volatile. The outlook is positive, but President Obama understands there is much work left to ensure continued economic growth and to put Americans back to work."

We deal with the facts locally... it appears things are getting better.

Remember we have much to be thankful for... Never forget that and as always - Count your blessings.  Enjoy today.  We will see you tomorrow!
