how many of us are happy with our own company? comfortable spending time with no person other than ourselves? being alone with our thoughts in silent contemplation. being happy and able to enjoy and inhabit your space. looking inward to examine how you feel at that moment without the distractions of the latest i-pod, phone, text, e-mail or whatever technology will be born to invade our world and deny our contemplation. looking outward to EXPERIENCE the joys of living, breathing, touching, hearing, seeing what glories the natural world displays for us every second of every day.
we are a unique part and parcel in the universe that abounds. a singular combination of atomic particles endowed with the spark of thought which gives us being, our soul if you will. and the greatest gift we can give to ourselves, and ultimately others, is the simple act of being able to sit in a quiet room alone.
happy in your being, examining and bringing your inner light and peace to the fore. to contemplate the means by which you will share it with the world.
try it today, being physically alone with your thoughts. i venture to say that if you are truly centered, you will never feel lonely. for your best friend and supporter is always with you.
seek and ye shall find.
