Do you have a growth plan?

In real estate and in life, it is imperative that we continually work toward our Big Why by constantly striving for self-improvement. There are no limits to our potential when we start thinking in possibilities.

The first step in laying your foundation to this new, limitless approach to your business is to create a growth plan.

Start by taking out a clean sheet of paper (or opening a blank Word Document) and listing out the months with space to write in between. Today is June 1, so start with this month, and list them through December. Next to each month, write a couple of things that you will do that month to work on your personal and professional growth.

For instance, in my growth plan, the months of April and May were dedicated to BOLD: Business Objective, A Life By Design. BOLD is a  seven-week MAPS Coaching class designed by Dianna Kokoszka and offered to Keller Williams agents to help them break through to that next level of achievement in their careers. I am a happy graduate of that program and recommend it highly to other KW agents! Our business really hit a spike during this program. Even after the tax credit ended, our team took on 11 new listings last month and have already closed on several.  We are very pleased!

June and July are dedicated to re-emphasizing in my mind the simple perfection of Gary Keller's models for successful real estate agents. As a Keller Williams agent, I want to make sure I am following the path to success which has been laid out in front of me. So for the first part of the summer, I will be re-reading Keller's books The Millionaire Real Estate Agent and SHIFT: How Top Real Estate Agents Tackle Tough Times and applying the gems within to my real estate career.

Another task in my growth plan includes a personal coach for myself and my business partner. We will have weekly calls with Michaelann Byerly, a mega producer from Florida and an excellent MAPS coach. We met her when she came to one of our BOLD classes, and she doesn't mess around. She holds you accountable. If you didn't achieve your goals, she'll want to know why. And you know what? There's a reason football coaches don't sugarcoat things with the players.

In August I also plan to achieve some personal milestones, and in September I will attend Mega Camp in Austin. Hope to see y'all there to literally learn from the best!

So... do you have a growth plan? What is it? What are your goals for the rest of this year? Write them down. Tell people about it. Let yourself be "hung by the tongue." Once we know about your goals, we'll help keep you accountable to them. There is nothing standing between you and your goals! Now come GROW with me!

This was great to see. I am getting ready to start BOLD session 2 on Thursday. Going to be documenting and journaling the experience at www.mykellerwilliamscareer.com. Love to have you stop by and give some feedback. James
