THE BEST SOURCE OF REAL ESTATE LEADS FOR THE MONEY. BAR NONE.

I'll read with GREAT interest ANY blogs about lead generation.

Well here it is folks. In the same way a yard sign often trumps all the e-marketing in the world the humble business card WHEN USED CONSISTENTLY, is in my opinion the best possible source of leads. What could be more 'organic? It's close to home and a lot more likely

to be received as a 'warm call' by potential buyers and sellers than any other type of marketing I can imagine.

IT IS BEST OF ALL, VERY USER FRIENDLY AND AFFORDABLE.

Hi Charles.  You are a big believer in the business card, huh?

Cool.  Like everything else, if you pass enough out, it will generate business...

Keep rocking!

Ken

Hi Charles, I agree that passing out business cards can be good lead generators.  Good luck in the future.

Charles....business cards have their place, for sure.....but I don't think they are the greatest generator of leads.....it has its place though....and you definitely want to put your activeraine site addresss on your card ....I did....it's actually everywhere....on fax sheets, on email and soon to be on letterhead.

Barbara. As always good to hear from you. I know you're having a great New England spring time.

The statement is 'for the money'. Mine cost about 6 cents each.

The business card is a wonderful source of warm calls, but it requires you to frame the way the business cards is presented.  Don't make the mistake of saying, "Here are a bunch of my cards, please hand them out."  Instead, tell your friend what you want them to say, briefly and concisely, when they give out your card.  That is how a business card turns into a quality lead!  Charles makes the point here that is so often overlooked.

Vic, I whole heartedly agree. I'm talking about using a business card effectively...to get leads, not to waste paper. It works. Anyone that knows their area has a much greater chance of success close to home. This is the strength of a card.

Nice card! Would it be okay for me to put "broker" on my card even though I am just an agent? Hope you sell a bunch this week!

I try and hand out my business card at every opportunity.  I send just as many in the mail too.  I try and get rid of 1 box of 1000 every year.

I agree, Charles.  And they must have a picture on them.  I promptly forget anyone without a photo.

I also have a photo on my business card and recently had someone tell me they found it unprofessional - I wanted to ask how many realtors they knew...................

OMG!!! Barbara-Jo....I was on floor duty one day and a couple came in  asking for their agent and while waiting  the husband picked up one of my cards and said that's a really nice picture are you sure you're only selling Real Estate; which was OK with me because that is usually the response I get....I personally think it's amusing....but the point here is the wife took a look at it and said "that's obnoxious" I was unfortunately on the phone at the time but would have defiantly addressed her rudeness!
