I moved to Northwestern Montana ten years ago and thought I moved to heaven. Beautiful place and people to match. There is all outdoor activities, fishing, hunting, skiing/water and snow with two ski resorts, the largest natural lake this side of the Mississippi, rivers, mountains, Glacier National Park. The valley here is called Flathead Valley and almost any place in the valley has a view or the surrounding Rocky Mountains. The Real Estate market has slowed a little bit making it a buyers market right now. However, the new construction is still moving upward in the residential market and going like gang busters in the commercial building. (new malls, cinema's,restuarants, hotels, etc.) So I still think this is one of the most beautiful places to live with a great future in Real Estate. I read a blog about the best place to buy a condo for skiing... well Brekenridge may be great but the prices here are probably still attainable. The average condo here in Lakeside on the Flathead Lake at the base of a ski resort is anywhere from $435,000 to $895,000. I will attach a picture of the lake outside my window. Please let me know your thoughts of a great place to live...
