Earthquake in CT

Earthquake in CT

At 1:50 today the earth moved - quite literally.  There was a 5.5 magnitude earthquake centered in Ottawa Canada.  Our building happens to be 4 stories tall and my office sits up on the forth floor.  Being in a tall building tends to magnify the effect of the earthquake as the buildings move.

For you Californians this may be a regular thing but for me in Connecticut it was definitely an out of the ordinary experience!

We had a slight tremor in the Mid-West a few years ago, and it was a strange experience for us at that time as well.

Bridgeport artist

I live in Bridgeport CT and today at about 1:50 pm I felt the vibration of an earthquake! I knew it was a tremor because I grew up in SF and experience earthquakes and tremors before. I live in an five stories artist loft building on the third floor and I was sitting at my computer working and all of a sudden my table, the floors and plants started to sway back an forward. I was watching the news to see if I was right...an hour later the local news reported the earthquake epic center was down by Virginia area...I hope there were no major damage in the epic center area.
