Trespass

By
Services for Real Estate Pros

I know a guy who loves apple pie. At least that is what he tells everyone. He is a husband, father, and small business owner. He and his family live in an upscale home and drive nice cars. From what I know of him, he works about 23 hours a day, except on Sunday, when he attends church and then goes to work.

He also happens to be a fairly new citizen of this country. After jumping through all of the hoops and over all of the hurdles, he can call himself an American citizen. When anyone asks him about it, he cannot hide his smile.

My friend Carlos speaks Spanish. That is what they speak where he comes from. But he is working hard to master English. He is a very popular business owner in our neck of the woods. He flies an American flag at his shop and his home. He admonishes his Spanish speaking customers to learn English. He will not take their money if they are trespassers into his country.  And he will ask them to leave if they do not belong. I have seen him do it. And I don't mean ask them to leave his store. He asks them to leave our country.

Funny how the LA boycott of Arizona is being put on hold for a bit. All kinds of excuses are being used, but I contend that one big reason is that popular opinion is in favor of the AZ bill. Way in favor.

Reports are that illegals in moving out of AZ in droves, and the bill is not even in force yet. The law is working. More states may need to get on the bandwagon as we attempt to chase them out of our country. They can come back in the legal way.

Anyone who pays attention knows that racism is not what the bill is about. It is about enforcing the law. A trespasser into our country is the same as one into your home.

When my grandparents came from Germany to this country, they only spoke English in their home...no German was allowed.  They also flew the American flag, got jobs and contributed to the country where they now lived.  They refused any hand outs including Social Security.  They had paid but did not feel that they were bad enough off to need the government support.

I would like to see more adaptation of their attitude and less of the government will save us.  I am proud of Arizona and hope they keep up the good fight.

Kevin, legal immigrants like Carlos are part of the American dream. He is walking the walk and talking the talk..."He admonishes his Spanish speaking customers to learn English. He will not take their money if they are trespassers into his country.  And he will ask them to leave if they do not belong. I have seen him do it. And I don't mean ask them to leave his store. He asks them to leave our country."

Go Arizona! The vast majority of Americans support the Arizona law. Why won't our elected officials listen to us. Maybe they will in the upcoming elections!

Kevin, do you think it ever occurs to the "no border" libs that without restrictions we have to also accept all of the Iraqi's, Afghans, Iranians, etc. that decide to sneak across the border?

Kevin,

Thanks for the illustration to underscore your point. We are getting the majority of Americans to support this - those outside of Washington anyway. :)

Personal Service, always.

Could it be that AZ is doing what about 40 other states would like to do? I think perhaps that is the case! And good for Carlos!
