Out and About with Dale Baker Your Home Energy Consultant in New Hampshire, I attended and was one of the many volunteers, that helped with the open house that took place at The Fort at No. 4 Living History Museum located here in Charlestown, New Hampshire. The mission of Old Fort No. 4 Associates is to: professionally collect, preserve, and authentically interpret both physical and intellectual resources which provide an educational understanding and appreciation for the 18th Century heritage of the Connecticut River Valley here in New Hampshire.

The Fort at No. 4 Living History Museum in Charlestown, New Hampshire is a interactive outdoor's museum that encourages each visiter to imagine! That you have traveled back in time to the 1740's of the 18th Century and have an unforgettable experience in the authentically reconstructed settlement of Charlestown, New Hampshire. Tour with guides dressed as the original settlers of No. 4 as they take you and your family through the gates of our heritage.

Out and About with Dale Baker Your Home Energy Consultant in New Hampshire, here are the names of familys that lived in the settlement of No. 4 now knowen today as Charlestown, New Hampshire: David Farnsworth, Stephen Farnsworth, Samuel Farnsworth, the Farnsworth brothers came in 1740. Then soon after came Captain Pineas Stevens and Lt. Ephraim Wetherbee, Dr. John Hastings, John Avery, Isaac Parker, Isaac Parker Jr., Charles Holden, John Spafford, Obadiah Sartwell, Moses Willard.

We had a real fine turn out of visiters come to The Fort at No. 4 open house last Sunday the 20th of June 2010, about 300 folks came through the gate of the Fort. Many of the visiters bought items in the book store and gave the Fort a donation.
