Disciplined Marketing Is Not A Punishment....It Results In A Reward !!!

It seems that marketing is one of the topics on which I dwell, but that's because marketing is the heart of our business.  There is only one successful method of marketing and that is "Disciplined Marketing."  Whether your preferred method is direct mail marketing, cold calling, door knocking, print advertising or blogging, it needs to be carried out in a disciplined fashion.   

Agents begin to slip backward with their production, when marketing is not disciplined.  If your marketing is not done consistently, your results will reflect that.  If your marketing is done consistently but in a "sporadic fashion," your results will indicate that. 

Whatever your choice is for marketing, have a plan of action and follow it explicitly.  If you have a gap in your progress, you have weakened your plan and the results will likely suggest that.  Having a gap in your marketing is equivalent to taking a college level course and missing an important class.  You are now at a disadvantage.  Miss another important class and your grade will definitely suffer and you may fail the course. 

Marketing should be considered a catalyst in the real estate business.  It will create business without actually becoming part of that business.  Learn to market properly and the results will be your saving grace in this real estate market.

Very well said.  It is definitely not a punishment and sometimes the results are not instant.  One key is to have a plan and work that plan.
