Austin TX - Low Flow Toilet Rebate Program Ends Today

austin tx low flow toilet rebateAustin TX - Low Flow Toilet Rebate Program Ends Today!  Today is the last day you can submit for a rebate in Austin TX when purchasing a low-flow toilet at a retail store.

This program has been in place since the 90's and has run its course. There are too many other things that are working better and more effectively for water conservation as technology has changed over so many years.

However, if you pick up a low-flow toilet at a city-contracted vendor, you can still receive one for free and not worry about sending in paperwork for a rebate.  My opinion of the problem there is, even if they're free, it's going to be inconvenient for enough people to where the amount of money spent is still minimized.

But also, since most newer homes are being built with low-flow toilets, home owners of older homes have had almost twenty years to cash in on this program. If they haven't done it yet, that's procrastination at it's best!

I'm sure a lot of people took advantage of the program.

Donna: I did finally get around to installing three new low flush toilets when we did some remodeling last year. Didn't do the rebate thing.
