When You're Hot, You're Hot....And When You're Not, Keep Working !!!

By
Managing Real Estate Broker with RE/MAX Executive Realty

How many times have you had a week when nothing goes well?  The phone didn't ring.  Your listings did not sell, and most of them had no showings.  If something could go wrong, it did and to the nth degree.  Home inspections had laundry lists from the inspector.  Appraisers did not see eye to eye with the figure on a purchase and sales agreement.  The phones at the office were down for several hours during a critical time of the day, and there were an additional few choice events beyond those stated.

Not a hot week, but Sunday is coming, and that's when my team's week begins.  Our open house events start our week, and whenever there's a new start, there's light at the end of the tunnel.  We need to keep working and put all of the events in every deal from hell aside.  They will all close.  The listings will all have accepted offers, at some point soon.  Next week is a new week with six closings scheduled.  Life goes on, and my team knows my attitude about troubled weeks.  When you're hot, you're hot...and when you're not, keep working!!

It's funny -- the harder you work the "luckier" you get. Keep on working.

It does matter who you hire.

Barbera,  I always like your posts, this is no execption.  I had the week last week.  Wrote 3 offers and 2 listings.  All seems to be without a good outcome.  But I am with you.  Today I will start over and this week I will get something to come together.  Keep writing.

Thank you Baraba (NCE) for this excellent post!  I have found all of your posts such an inspiration.  My son had facial reconstruction surgery for his eye this past week (with 2 more surgeries to go) and it has been hard to get back into AR .... hospitals, doctors and negativity can drain you!  I told Paula (here in The Woodlands) we could do a hospital cam for awhile with how much time we have and will be spending here!  pippa

Barbara,

Your post is short but SWEET.

A new week starts Sunday.  Yes indeed it does.  Open houses are great - ("Showtime.  folks!") - but so is getting into the office a day or half day before everyone else.  OK, not a very mature attitude - but FUN!

Last week's over.  Not all bad, but beyond my control at this point.

Saturday I'll do some fun stuff, whatever strikes me.

And then -- it starts Sunday!

Hike
