Ever wonder what homeschooled kids do all day? Why, write comic books of course!
Here in Maine, homeschooling is quite well accepted and the state, while providing oversight, does not make it difficult for parents. Maine homeschool regulations and guidelines can easily be met, while not becoming burdensome to parents who choose to homeschool their children.
My office is only 2 miles from my home, so I come home everyday for lunch. Today I was greeted by my son, Quinn, sitting on the front stoop surrounded by paper and markers and busily creating comic books of his favorite super hero, "Super Quinn."
I couldn't resist filming a video of him reading one of his creations to save for the video portfolio I am compiling of this year's activities. Apparently the neighborhood kids had to go inside for a while and he chose to make the most of this respite.
I hope you enjoy!
If your family is committed to homeschooling, or as in our case "radical unschooling," and you are tired of your state's restrictive regulations, you might consider coming to Maine. I'd be happy to help you find your niche here in Maine.
