Wordless Wednesday: Butterflies are Amazing!

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Indy Metro Northeast

How often do you get an opportunity to get up close and personal with a butterfly?  This little guy actually hung around my house for a couple of hours today.  Seeing them brings a smile to my face, just the same as hummingbirds do.  I don't know what it is, but they seem to calm your nerves even on the most stressful days...

This is a work of art, Chanda.  What a great photo composition with the bowl behind.

Thanks Jane.  It's actually my hummingbird feeder.  It was interesting to watch the wasps, hummingbird, and butterfly all vying for a place on the feeder today.

Chanda, I too am calmed by both butterflies and hummingbirds! There really is something spiritual about them that just makes me stop and reflect. These are fantastic pictures! Thanks for sharing!

Do you happen to know which kind of butterfly?  It sort of looks like a swallowtail.

I honestly don't know, but a Google search makes me believe that is a swallowtail.  The picture doesn't even do it justice when it comes to the beautiful color it displayed...

Love that bottom shot. I love it when they aren't shy and land on you. They are beautiful for sure and when you have the right plants around, they come in the bunches.

Great photo...perhaps it was hanging looking for a break into modeling ;-) ...I think it's a sign of good luck to have them hang around for a while.

Hi Chanda... I think that butterflies have the same calming and stress relieving effect as watching a tropical fish tank!

Yes, that's also a calming thing to do. I had one, but the amount of work required to maintain it...I just didn't have the time...

Chanda thanks for the great photos, I too love Hummingbirds and butterflies.  I have 3 feeders and a Butterfly bush and 6 other flowers to attract the wonderful creatures.  They release stress and remind me again everyday of the wonders of Gods creations....  I have never been able to get such great phoitos, what kind of camera are you using?
