Friday Nite Videos Eyes of the World by The Grateful Dead

One of my favorite songs by my favorite band.... also one of the most misunderstood bands in my era. The repuation that the Dead gathered was in my opinion not justified. They simply wanted to play the music they loved. The fans well the fans had different ideas sometimes.

I hope you will give this song a listen and that you will take a close listen to the words. We could all benefit from following the lyrics in our lives.

Best wishes- Scott

That's nine minutes of beautiful music. And, you're right about the Dead being very misunderstood. Having been backstage and having met the band members on numerous occasions, I can attest to the fact that the scene was a lot tamer than most of the stereotypes out there.

Scott: I'm with Craig... I went to a lot of Dead concerts back in the day. They just wanted to play music, and yes they were probably wild and crazy guys... but I never got it was about the crazy, it was about the music. They were misunderstood by a lot of their fans that liked them for many of the wrong reasons. Which makes it all more profound that they kept going, kept playing, kept being creative. The thing I always cherished about the Dead was, they were a real band, performed as a band, and recorded as a band. I think a lot of people forget what they most often hear now days goes way beyond a few guys playing together. Love this vid... Enjoy the weekend.
