I Wanted To Stay After Decorating!

By
Real Estate Sales Representative with Royal LePage State Realty

The Smile On My Clients Face Was Priceless

I was fortunate enough to be called on to decorate this home; a blank canvas and fantastic clients!

Prior to going in, the only pieces of furniture were a dining room table and china cabinet. The floor covering was a cream coloured carpet. The walls were a light builder's beige (we all know THAT one!).

I will be posting the dining room pictures next week. We are still awaiting the curtains to come in 2-3 weeks.

I will update the post then...but for now, enjoy.

We don't have Homesense here but we do have a store that sells similar styles. I will have to see if they have something similar.

Julia, your staging is impeccable - as always.  Love the hall table and mirror.  May I ask where you purchased them?  I agree with you - I could have moved in too.  Looks very comfortable and inviting.  Great job.  Betty

Julia...it looks beautiful!  I love the colors you chose.  I also LOVE the artwork you have on all of the walls!  Where did you get those?

Betty; thanks! The table I purchased at a local shop..brought in from the states. It is convex in shape. Which makes it perfect for a narrow hall. The mirror--none other than "Homesense".

Reece.I love these colours...warm golds, and some of the porcelain blue's mixed in. The artwork I picked up at "Homesense" as well. Thanks for stopping by Reece!

Thanks, Kimberly!

Are you going to the CSP convention? I am not able to attend, I have another commitment on the same weekend, unfortunately. But I may try to go Thursday to the Ann Maurice Tea. Are you going to be there? I would love to hook up with you at some point!

Thanks, Lynette. The great thing is that the client loved it and wanted to stay...and since this was a design job as opposed to a staging job..that's exactly what I wanted.

thx for dropping by:)

Bautiful pics and I love the color scheme. I always like using creams and reds. I also love the leather ottoman. Hey who wouldn't want to stay and relax here?

Phyllis; I actually miss the space..it's been over a week and I feel the need to go and visit! I have to say, though, these clients are fantastic! It makes it easy to do my best work when they are willing and ready to go ahead with my suggestions. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks Nora and Susan! I can't wait until the curtains come in and we can hang them. They will soften the walls and give the room a real finished, elegant look.

Julia,

Beautiful work, I love that you made the rooms personal to them by adding the red cars.

Melissa...too funny!

If it's worth anything, you DON'T look like Cyndi Lauper (thank goodness)....you actually remind me of that girl on "Will and Grace"...what is her name...??? oh, I forget....not Grace, though...the other pretty one...

just put a dark wig on.....

o.k., does anyone else see it?? :)

They had nice furniture and I am sure you must of had a ball "staging" this home for them to live in and enjoy...AHH now if it could only stay that way. LOVE IT
