Collin County, Texas: Ask for the CCAR Pulse Report

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Dallas Suburbs: Prosper, Texas

How do you get your real estate information?  If it's from the Dallas Morning News, you may want to know that many real estate agents in Collin County, Texas wouldn't use the Dallas Morning News real estate section to wrap fish.  Online attention grabbing headlines?  Those have no bearing here.  So, where do you go to get honest and factual information about how the real estate market is doing in the North Texas Region?  Ask a local real estate agent, tied to the Collin County Association of Realtors, to give you a copy of the CCAR Pulse Report and review the report with you.

The CCAR Pulse report is only available to Board members.  It's just one of MANY pieces of information to which the general public has no access.  The Pulse reports are available by city/town, and by month.  When added to neighborhood comparative sale data, a Collin County agent is armed with enough information to price homes for sale right, with adequate data regarding local competition and true data on length of marketing time from listing date to contract.  Information is power, and power comes from the CCAR Pulse Report.

Many agents, myself included, will share comparative market data with homeowners in Collin County, TX upon request.  A smart homeowner wants to stay on top of the real estate market and ask about what trends the agents are seeing in our local market.  But, an informed homeowner will also ask for the CCAR Pulse Report, to really get a feel for the whole picture.  This report can help you plan the timing of your own entry to the real estate market, and give you a very good indication of just how much demand we are still seeing for homes in our local market.  We are blessed, and that is what the Pulse Report shows me.  We are truly blessed.

Have a great day!

Ronda

Thanks Ronda!  As a new member of CCAR, I just learned about the Pulse Report on Friday.  I'll make sure I include that on my reading list.

Tammy - WELCOME to CCAR!  Hope to meet you at one of the Tuesday morning networking meetings.  The Pulse Report didn't exist when I went into real estate in 2002.  It's a great tool, and both selling and buying clients find it easy to understand and very helpful.  All the best to you.
