A photo day in the life of Birch Hollow, Woodstock New Hampshire

  Sun Up on Birch Hollow

Have a look at the Birch trees..

This White Birch is near the end of it's life cycle...this baby is huge.

A few of the trees in the Hollow are starting to turn red, the tips of this small maple are showing fall foliage.

I liked the reflection of the clouds and blue sky in this calm section of the Pemi River as the dark set in.

The Sun goes down on Birch Hollow....

Back from  my walk ...goodnight Birch Hollow.

Wow, that's a lot of posts dude.  And birch wood makes beautiful cabinets. It takes stain wonderfully.

You live in beautiful country Steve. Thank you for the photoblog of Birch Hollow, the changing of the leaves there must be an amazing sight!

Bill, I'll keep evidence of that tree on it's way out...I'm not allowed to cut this close to the river, but when it becomes a safety issue (limbs falling off) I'll be able to cut it down. And that does mean a ton of firewood.

So much beauty here and so well captured--unbelievable that this is in you "own back yard!".

Birch prunings make fine yule logs, and also wonderfully rustic candle sticks when hollowed out a bit.

Nancy...I have used the birch bark in a rustic wall finish and in other ways.
