Realtybid.com my review of working with them

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker United Realtors

I recently had an auction go through www.Realtybid.com the first time I have worked with them.

 RealtyBid

This is my review.

You need to know going in with them that if you have any question just save yourself some time and email them.

I had called six or seven times and never received anyone taking my call. You are able to leave a voicemail but the response time stays the same and you will receive an email most likely back anyways.

The next thing to know is that you can register your buyers with them and can print out a sales contract that is needed.

You may want to go ahead and take a look at the contract in case any questions might come up from other Realtors and or other clients working with other Realtors as was the case  when I had the listing on the site.

You will not be emailed a copy of any of the docs they are sent directly to Realtybid.com. You will need to ask for an update on status as non was provided about if the buyer had sent back docs and where we were at on the closing date or when it would be.

I dont know how long they have been around but I can see were problems can arise if the auction is not sold and then goes onto post auction bidding which was the case on the asset I had that went through Realtybid.com

This was an email I received when asking where we were at with the close of the auction.

Good Afternoon, Brandon:

Thank you for the email inquiry below.  An explanation of the Post Bid process can be found at this link: http://www.realtybid.com/subdata/postauction.cfm .

It is important to note that although Post Bidding properties show a countdown clock (i.e. 6 Days Left!, 3 Days Left!, etc.), these countdowns are intended to explain the longest possible amount of time the property will remain on the website and available to receive Post Bids; the countdown clock is NO GUARANTEE that the property will remain on the site for that entire amount of time, or any amount of time.

During Post Bid, all offers made are presented to the Seller.  The Seller may accept any offer at any time, resulting in the property being marked as "Sold".  The buyer will have some time to perform on this property.  If the buyer does not perform in a timely manner, the property could possibly be remarketed.  You may check back with us at the middle of next week to check on the status of this property at that point.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.  Our toll free number is listed below for your convenience.

This is what I received when asking what was going on after post closing and post bidding.

Good afternoon, Brandon:

Thank you for the email inquiry below.  So far, the buyer of the subject property is performing as expected.  You may, however, check back Friday afternoon (8/27/2010).

To me there needs to be some more Realtor updates coming from RealtyBid and consideration in this process on their part would help.

Hi Brandon,

Talk about frustrating!

Couldn't they hire just one person to talk to you? It is all on computer. Just someone to say, this, or that?

Thanks for writing about it.

Phil

Why do they bother to put their toll free number in the email if no one is there to answer it? Thanks for sharing your experience. Through AR we can all let other Realtors know about the difficult cases to work with and avoid them!

Phil- I dont know if I just caught them in a fluke time that they were overloaded or what but from the auctions going on in my area there did not seem to be to many. I can say they dont have anyone for each state or I would of been able to get a hold of someone on the phone. Thanks for checking out the post and the comment.
