Fall, A Season for Change

As the last throws of summer are upon us and we embrace the changes fall brings to the landscape, so too will we have to contemplate new strategies as we enter this season of change. I am not one to advocate change for the sake of change, but as the summer selling season comes to a close, we must don the colors of different ideas in our business and personal lives.

Like so many, I started the year with a resolve to lose unnecessary pounds. While I got off to a great start; time, business, and only so many hours in the day scuttled my intentions. Roger Mucci's "Take it off in the rain" was a great incentivizer to get me back on track.

My focus to develop and implement systems to attract better leads and track them got derailed as well. So much for the best laid plans of mice and men...

Fall is a season for change. Time to refocus, regroup and re-energize. Sally Cheesman challenges all of us to make changes as the fall season approaches. In her "Fall Season of Change Contest" she urges all of us to reflect on what we are doing and bring about new approaches to resolve issues in our business and personal lives.  You have until 11:59 - 22 September to get your entries in. Good luck...

Mike,

I'm not sure I have time for Sally's challenge. Heck, maybe that's a good reason to try though.

Marcia, Thanks...

Roy, I am working on some changes as I type...

Paula, Good luck...

Barbara, I hope it is kicking the game winning field goal, not just dropping back to punt...

Richard, that is a good thing...

Fall does naturally change our focus for end of year. It's the moving from outdoors to indoors that sweeps a mind clean and starts us fresh for the duration.

Thanks for the heads up Michael.  Now let us think... change?  It was 43 degrees this morning when we checked... that's a change.  Not liking that.

Lindsay, yes it does. Talk about sweeping, I need to clean and sweep out the garage before it starts getting too cool...

Al & Peggy, Yuk! Y'all can keep that temp...

Michael, Thanks for letting us know about Sally's challenge.  I'll go check that out right after I go visit "Take it off in the rain."

Fall has always been my favorite season and you've highlighted it well.  I am working on my business plan and my personal plan for 2011 now and Sally's challenge will undoubtedly help with those.

Have a great day!

Hi Michael. Change and the sense of excitement is what I like best about fall--that and the invigorating air, and the fall colors, and the first rain (we have no rain except for a spritz or two between June and October), and the clean air, and -----

I'm off to read Sally's contest idea

The best parts off the fall are the changing off all the colors and the perfect sleeping weather.

Plant the bulds for next year and the mums for the season.

Enjoy the day

Michael.....A very good read.  The only thing we have that is constant is change - the winds of change blow constantly, and to be successful we must adjust our sails to stay on course.

That's what I love about ActiveRain, that there is always an inspiration out there. I've found it easier to keep moving forward rather than standing still...
