Good morning, Active Rain! I'm fired up this morning because it's a Tuesday and it's already been a great work week, closing deals, making connections, and even being written up in my hometown paper! You see, my father was a bank robber and...well, I'll just link you to the story: "A Million Dollar Daughter's Hard-Luck Dad."
So I wanted to share something inspirational: if you've got some free time this morning, I believe you'll be fascinated by this speech from TED about the surprising science of motivation. This guy's name is Dan Pink, and he's very good onstage. Best of all, though, is how much "Food for Thought" this video has to give you.
I realize it might sound strange for me to inspire you to work harder by recommending you stop what you're doing 19 minutes and watch a video...but trust me. This guy will lay out a whole book's worth of ideas, and it's all about what gets us motivated and what keeps us inspired. Enjoy!!
OH YEAH: if you'd prefer to get your inspiration in readable format...here's a great article by Dan Pink from Time Magazine: "What Fuels Good Work"
