Use This Cool Printing Trick & Save a Ton of Time!

office printer by Bob HaywoodToday is a beautiful fall Monday here in Owasso, Oklahoma.  Not only is the weather gorgeous, but I'm going to be showing houses, so that makes it an even better day!

I discovered a time saving trick this morning when preparing the print outs for my buyers.  I use a laptop that I take to the house and to the office with me.  My laptop has not only my home printer installed, but the big fancy copier machine at the office too.  As I was printing out my MLS pages on my little home printer this morning, a thought crossed my mind.  Why not go ahead and send everything I need for my buyer to the office printer?  Then, whenever I hook up the laptop at the office, it will all print automatically.  So I tried it worked beautifully!

All my color buyer MLS pages cranked right out as well as the black and white seller disclosure pages.  All I had to do was to pick them up, sort them and staple them!  How cool is that!  And it saved me from emptying my printer cartridges at home.  Those little guys get pricey over time!

So, if you use a laptop, this is a nifty little printing tip you might want to try out.  Just send your stuff to the office printer, turn off the computer when done and don't worry about it.  When you get to the office, your stuff should crank right out.  This can especially be a great time saver if you have a client waiting for you in the lobby!

FYI - I run Windows 7 and Office 2010.  Check your laptop software configuration.  This should work on almost any setup though!

This a great idea!  I will have to use this one.  You are right it does get expensive to print them at home!
