Calling all techies - I need your help, please

How do you change photos from bitmap to jpg?  What program do you use?  Is there one I need to download or probably something already on my computer that I just don't know about?

Thank you, in advance, for your help.

I use Paint Shop Pro, it's really easy to use and you can resize photos, change them to all kinds of photo formats very quickly and easily.

Hi Juli, I use an online file type converter. There are several out there. Here is a link to one.

I don't think I have that, is it an upload?  I'll look for it.  Thanks, June.

I agree with Cynthia. It is a web-based utility. Go to the website http://www.pictureresize.org/online-images-converter.html . It will ask you to find the image on your hard drive that you want to convert, what type of file you want it converted to and what size you want the photo to be. It does it for you and spits back the picture in the format and size you want. The best part? It's free!

Cheers,

zamzar.com is another.  It's free.  You will get some spam because of it, so don't use it too much.

I see Ted and Cynthia have already helped you. You can also simply do a Google search on “graphic converter” or “bitmap to jpg converter” and find many programs.
