I'm going to miss the gladiolus...

Change is good, when it brings us something we really desire or need.  But change can be a mixed blessing.

We had a nice new porch built this year to replace the stoop in the photo below.  It is 13' x 13' and has a high ceiling and an open end truss. A very pleasant exterior space, it is.

The new porch is much nicer than the old brick stoop, and we won't have to fiddle at the front door in the rain any more.

And, we gave up the gladiolus. I missed getting them out of the ground and moved. They are gone.

I sure like the new porch. But, I'm going to miss the gladiolus.

The porch is nice looking addition to the home.  I would miss the gladiolas too.. love flowers.  But maybe next spring you can acquire some more and plant.  :)

Virginia,

Looks like I'm going to have to pick up the shovel.
