HAS IT NOT BEEN GETTING DARK THIS EARLY ALL ALONG???

By

So it’s 6:00 p.m. EST, and it is PITCH DARK!!! Is it just me or do we act like this is a big surprise every year when we “fall back?” HAHA!!! Like it is dark really early after the time change for the first time in history this year! People are so funny…and I am right in there with them too. Just last night, I said to my husband, “Can you believe how dark it is at 6 pm??” I’m not going to say what his response was…that is beside the point.

It would be funny to respond to someone who remarks about how dark it is so early by saying something like, “You know…I hadn’t even noticed. Has it not been getting dark at 6:00 for a while now?”  HaHa

(Somebody didn’t have much to write about tonight…hehehe)

Hi Sheila - You obviously live farther west in the eastern time zone than Connecticut--it was pitch dark here at 5 P.M.  Now it is 6:34, and time for bed (well, at least that is what my internal clock is saying).

Dark at 3pm would catch my attention but not at 6pm (until deer season starts).

Here in Hendersonville, NC we are now also dark at 6 PM.  It sure can play havoc with those folks wanting to check out homes after work.

The dark has me wanting to head to the recliner and TV!  But, I generally stay at the "puter" listening, for awhile anyway.

I hate it!! Is it dark at 6PM in Florida also? The only good think about the early darkness is the fact that it means HS wrestling season is right around the corner! G-O E-A-S-T M-E-A-D-O-W J-E-T-S!

Its been dull all day, rain mixed with a little snow. Certainly dark early. Must be approaching winter. Our cats have been wanting out but through different doors each time, and every time.

Sheila...it keeps getting dark earlier till December 21...then starts working it's way back. I was married on June 21 (summer solstice) I like to remind my wife that the longest day of the year means the shortest night.

Am not particularily fond of this as it seems that I just dont get as much work accomplished. But last night I remembered that this is the way we used to live before someone decided to invent daylight savings time!

I don't like it! I think our business slows down each year until people get used ti it again.
