Home Staging in Suffern Condo

By
Home Stager with Sensible Staging & Redesign, LLC

As a Home Stager, you're always proud of your work but in this instance, it was a little stronger than usual! I had the support of a great agent at Coldwell Banker, Jackie Garcia-Morales, and we had a lot of fun transforming this ugly duckling!

The day was doomed from the beginning since the furniture company arrived 1 hour before they were supposed to. When I reached the condo, it actually started to sleet! Nothing like removing staging supplies from your car in wet, nasty weather. Ten minutes after we got there, the power went out and didn't return for several hours later!

While it's hard to tell, we had lots of issues to deal with here. The condo is very dark and the choice of carpeting, wall color and ceiling color, did not help. And yes I said ceiling color! Someone thought they were being artistic by putting the color on the ceiling and not on the walls. If you look at the Bathroom shot, the wall color is actually like a highlighter yellow but in the after photo, I was able to tone it down with green accessories.

I hope you enjpy the transformation and I always welcome comments!

Nice job!  I especially like what you did to the bedroom.  Ceiling color???  Ugh.

Thanks Patsy. I'm sure you've had to deal with those non-negotiable issues yourself! Our goal is to obviously wow buyers with the potential of the condo and not make some of these painting no-no's, so obvious. With the condition of the condo before, no one would be enticed to see it in person. Hopefully, we'll be able to bring them in the door now!
