We Got Frosted Last Night!

Warren County Ohio frosty morning Novembe 19 2010

Jack Frost paid the Warren County countryside a visit last night!  The first serious frost of the season...break out the ice scrapers and clean the windshields (UGGGHH!!).  But we'll give Jack one thing, combine his work with the sun's early morning rays and it looks like it's going to be a good day!

Hope you have a great weekend!

What a beautifully sublime photo.  It almost looks like the ocean.

Is that better than toasted?  We had what for us was a pretty chilly night, about 39, but it's in the mid 60's now, the sun is shining and the ocean is glorious to look at and hear!  Would it be mean to say, "Wish you were here!"?

Do you remember the days when ladies would 'frost' their hair? That's what I thought of when I saw the title of your post.

Kristen, I thought the same thing after looking at it about the 10th time.... the fields with the frost almost has the rolling, little whitecap look!

AB, And we promise not to tell you about our 75 degree weather when it's 115 in Phoenix :)

CA, Is this a hint of where the "Cheeky Assistant" part came from?  Wouldn't mind being at the beach for a few days either!

Melissa, Yep, can remember that!

Liz & Bill - The weather has been gorgeous in South Florida, 80+ degrees, it's hard to believe other parts of the country are getting snow and frost.  Stay warm!

Michelle, Not bad here yet...a little frost is okay, just not looking forward to the first snowy driving day...it'll be nuts until everyone gets used to it again!

Jane and Chris, Yes the snow will get here eventually...but not yet.  And since we showed everyone the start of the day, might as well add the evening view out our home office window!

Pretty, OK it is pretty, but it's cold and Anna be nice to the northern states.  It's about to start here and I am not looking forward to it.  Let Autumn stay a little longer.

Liz, I'm in no rush for driving in the snow.  I love to watch snow, love how it covers and makes everything so pure....but do I hate driving in the stuff!

We've had frost a few times already .. had to pick the tomatoes and brown bag them green.. they are ripening.

But then I'll snitch some of them for fried green tomatoes!

Judi, Our tomato plants had already given up before this.  We had enough tomatos and salsa frozen in the freezer to last us quite awhile anyway!

I guess we should not complain about "freezing" (52degrees) in Marina Del Rey,CA. Liz & Bill I do not even want to remember what it was like, nor experience it.

Endre, It's still nice here today.  I wore a long sleeve shirt and wind breaker this afternoon, and actually a little too much warmth!  Bill

Burrrrrrr!  I am never, ever ready for cold weather.  Even though I am originally a Yankee (born and raised to adulthood in Detroit), I still never liked the cold.

The storm that hit us last weekend dropped some of that white stuff up in the mountains. From Cabrillo National Monument, the city and mountains looked like this:

Happy Thanksgiving!

Russel, I've been to San Diego about a dozen times, but don't ever recall seeing snow up there!  Awesome shot!
