Padlocks of Love -- Verona Italy

By
Home Inspector with King of the House Home Inspection, Inc

I have written previously that in the Italian city of Verona, the home of Romeo and Juliet, the essence of the famous couple is everywhere. There is the home and balcony of Juliet, where everyone tries, with considerable success, to have physical contact with Juliet.

And, at one of the main bridges across the river, there is yet another tradition. Couples leave their locks on the light poles that are up on the bridges.

The story is that lovers come to Verona. They write their names on the locks and then they throw the keys into the water. That "locks" their love forever.

How interesting.  I've never heard of that before.  You'd think there'd be even more locks.

That's a new one I haven"t heard of.  Whatever works. I wonder what is the percentage of the locks that need to be taken off there.

A better idea would be chain and lock Nutsy and then throw him in the river.
