there must be tons of the stuff

I'm dreaming of a white December 4th...

oooh, crap.  I'm not dreaming. Overnight, the good lord decided to dump a few inches of the cold/white stuff on our burb.  I awoke to find ugly, masses of the heavy white stuff to shovel and break my back beautiful waves of white painting the trees and the neighbourhood.

I gotta admit... I'm not ready for this yet.  I know, I know... I live in Chicago, I should be used to this... there are areas of the country (U.S.) that have already seen several feet of snow.  I don't care.  This is my blog, so this is the one place where it's all about me.

I sent the wife out this morning to shovel the front walk, so that I wouldn't damage my loafers walking to the car...  nah... not even I managed that one... (nobody believed me, did they?)... she shoveled her own way out to her "pre-warmed" car, and headed out to Yoga.. (she's very 'bendy').

And now I have to go put on my jeans, and boots, head out there are move some of that crystallized water around... make a path for the tiny-little-doggie to wander out back and kill the grass for next year.

The stuff is pretty... and I would enjoy it, if we were in for only a couple of months... but this is Chicago, and we should be prepared for snow on the ground (which will turn grey in a matter of hours) all the way through April...  Yeeesh.

Looks like we got out of Chicago just in time.  No snow yet here in DC thank goodness.

Alan just remember one important fact when you walk your dog.  Don't eat the yellow snow!
