It was a hot morning at my house...

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with WHISPERING PINES REALTY 20398180

A loud explosion that rocked me out of bed at 3:30 am.  Looking out the window, things looked really bad.  my large pole barn was on fire!

We had our two vans and motor home in this shed.  The fire was intense and I was lucky to safely get one van out.  The other two we a total loss.

The speed of this fire was remarkable.   Not an arson, as I was looking over my property before the Fire Dept arrived.

My out door wood stove was in this shed. It was NOT the cause.  We have it narrowed down to an electrical short.   Worst part of this entire disaster is that I wil have to burn Propane to keep my house warm and it will be a bout 3-4 degrees cooler than I like.

No one was hurt.  That is the main thing.   So If I am missing in action for a few days, you will have an idea where I am.

You have a remarkably upbeat attitude, considering, I think I'd be sucking my thumb.  Sorry about the loss of vehicles, but praise God, no one was injured.  And then I read of you playing Santa -- sounds like your priorities are well in order!

William ~  Sorry to have not commented sooner -- you and your wife have been in our prayers -- I am so sorry you are having to endure this and a loss -- even though they are just things, is still difficult to endure.  If there is absolutely anything we can do, please just say the word.  Blessings.

Holy moley! Glad you are safe & nothing blew outward toward the house or anything. Bummer on the cars & stuff.  Why do so many fires seem to happen near Christmas?

Did you have a tree on top of the winnebago?

William.  I am glad that you are okay.  It must have been shocking to see the fire and risky to get your van out.  You will likely be shakey for a few days or weeks.

Well certainly NOT the kodak moment you wanted to have in your file!  So sorry, while you are all thankfully fine, it's still hard to lose and a bit rattling to the soul!  Hope insurance works well with you and you can replace in the spring.

Bill:

I am sorry to hear about this.  It's not the sort of thing you want to have happening around the holidays - or any time. I hope your insurance covers most of losses.
