Grand Opening of The Ploughcroft Tea Room in Downtown Lynchburg VA

By
Real Estate Agent with Londeree's Real Estate & Property Management VA License #0225102551

I was lucky enough to be invited to tea at The Ploughcroft Tea Room on their Grand Opening day, December 11th, 2010. The Tea Room is located in one of the historic buildings on Commerce Street that has been totally renovated. Singers from The Victorian Society at Liberty University performed Christmas songs, there were readings from Charles Dickens Christmas Story and several vocal performances.

Afternoon Cream Tea

We enjoyed a leisurely afternoon cream tea with tasty scones in a beautiful English setting. I've been to the tea room for lunch and highly recommend the Cornish Pasty and the Fruit Crumble with English Custard AND reservations. The tea room is already a popular destination and it fills up fast. Conveniently located across from Estate Specialists.

Do they have clotted cream too?  Sounds like a wonderful place to spend a few hours chatting with a good friend.

Debbie, this sounds like another wonderful Lynchburg spot. My son just graduated from Lynchburg College this year, so my husband and I got to enjoy the great restaurants and B&B's there - we stayed at The Ivy Creek often - we love your town. Merry Christmas to you and the best to you in real estate!
