Important Continuing Education Changes

By
Real Estate Agent with Surterre Properties

Are you familiar with the new DRE Continuing Education changes coming January 1, 2011 for California?

The DRE wanted to make Continuing Education more professional and thus the amount of reading material for at-home courses will increase and final exams will increase in difficulty, with less true and false questions and less time to answer questions. Online testing has changed significantly as well.

Also, please remember that nicknames are permitted on business cards because license numbers are required on new licensee cards. The license number must be the same size as all other fonts.

To read the complete renewal regulations click here: http://www.dre.ca.gov/lic_ce_require.html

Make sure you know when your license expires! Sometimes we are so busy it can be easily overlooked.

And Thank You for making me your Orange County Real Estate Specialist!

Michael,

I knew this was coming. Not sure I can squeeze my hours in before year end.

Michael, I just signed up for my renewal hours online today.  I haven't had time to attend any "live" classes, so am interested on seeing what the online classes have to offer.  I hope they're informative - not just the usual "thanks for sitting and listening to me speak for three hours" type of stuff.  Personally, I think the classes really need to have more "information."  I've always looked at the CE classes as a necessary evil and have learned very little from them.  Sorry if I'm the nay-sayer here, but the more we know, the better we are as agents.
