Your Houston Real Estate Professional Visits the Texas Capitol Building the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2010.

Texas Capitol Building

It was a beautiful sunny day in Austin.  This is the most popular entrance to the capitol building.

cannon

This cannon in front of the capitol building is in excellent shape.

the seal of texas

One of the many Texas seals on the floor of the rotunda.

rotunda with portraits

On the walls of the rotunda are oil paintings of past governors.

elevator doors at the capitol

Even the elevator doors are decorated.

entrance to the Texas Senate

The wood work is really magnificent, with lots of attention to detail and beautiful lines.  This is the entrance to the Texas Senate Chamber.  There are so many more great pictures, please check back for or part 2 of this blog.

I also visited the San Antonio River Walk and the Alamo that same weekend.
