Right Street, Wrong House

By

When I opened my email this morning my wife has emailed me a link to a story about a home that was accidentally demolished! It seems Andre Hall was away for a week for the holidays and when he returned home to finish rehabbing the home that he had saved from demolition, he found an empty lot with construction equipment parked on top of the ruble from his home. The contractor for the city destroyed the wrong home. To make matters worse he had installed new windows, had piles of dry wall in the house and his tools and they still tore it down!

I did a little research and found at least 10 homes in the past 6 months that this has happened to.  How can we expect people to fix up their homes and for our market to bounce back if we keep tearing down houses that home owners are living in!

The town should be building him and his girlfriend and her 4 kids a new home.

OMG! I thought I have heard it all.  The town should do a lot more than just building him a new home.  All of his personal in a lot of cases irreplaceable possessions are gone.

Wow!  Sounds like a good lawyer should be referred to this man!  I can't even imagine how that happened!
