Is a Closet Makeover on Your Spring "To Do" List?

Time to Organize your ClosetI was perusing the Wall Street Journal Real Estate section and a video caught my eye about walk-in closet upgrades. This certainly intrigued me as Cari and me are in a definite need of a master closet redo. While many of the items seem a bit overboard (the flat panel TV, coffee maker & room for 500+ shoes) the idea of a fresh closet is inspiring. Luckily, my father in law is an excellent woodworker so that will work to our advantage. New shelving, expanded lighting, brighter colors and a flooring upgrade are all within the reach of this DIY advocate. It may be just the thing to start out the day with a little extra spring in the step. So as a companion piece to Time To Start Thinking About Home Improvement Projects I think another project is at hand. If you are considering listing your home closets are a good place to declutter and spurce up to increase the marketing potential. Enjoy the video.

Hello Doug~ Not sure I need a makeover, but I know for sure that my closet needs to be "refreshed"! Spring is the perfect time of year to take on a project like this. Good luck with yours!

Thank you Donna. I always have a list of things to do but this one will definitely be the largest for this year.

I thought it was really interesting as well Renee. I have been thinking about this for a couple of years now. Cari is super organized and the kids, as well as her craft closet, are wonderful and Elfa equipped. I just want to do something a bit different and custom for the master. Best of luck with your weekend project!

Guess I know what you're doing this weekend! At least you will reap the rewards. Some projects don't supply a personal payback. This one certainly will!
