Ask and Ye Shall Receive

Sometimes all we need is a little push and guidance along the way. In Tni LeBlanc’s blog last week she spoke of the gentle reminder to “ask for the sale”. Pretty obvious stuff, especially for a guy who relies on sales to make a living.  But sometimes in other arenas we don’t follow are training and our skills.

A few weeks back I wrote about the St Baldricks Foundation and how I was raising money for the third straight year.  I posted the link to my donations page in the post along with it on Facebook and Twitter. Two days later I checked the page to see what progress I had. Zero, nada, nothing, goose egg, what the …..?

Why weren’t people donating?  I do this every year, don’t people know I’m trying to raise money for this great cause?  Yes they do.  These are the same people that know that I’m a Realtor and I’m available to help them in any way possible but there lives are busy with other things than remembering Joe Kenny and his agenda.

Once, I followed up and began asking specifically for help I started to notice the donations coming in. So what ever business you are in or activities you are a part of it’s always important to remember, ask and ye shall receive.  O.k. I’m taking Tni’s advice here and giving you all a little push.  I want to raise at least $1500 for St. Baldricks and I’m looking for help. Please click here if you can donate the smallest of donations.  Just imagine how I’m going to look bald, that may be worth the donation alone.
