I'm hoping you don't still have snow on the ground, Sharon.  Is this an old photo?

What a thrilling picture Sharon! That one in the middle is trying to figure out how to get in!

LOL! We never get looky-loo's like this but we DO get stares from our cats who aren't shy about giving us the 'eye' when they want something!

Those are amazing pictures. Is it part of the 10+ that showed up in your backyard? I sense some intelligence there.

Alexandra:  They are beautiful, and we are seeing plenty of them lately...they are searching for food.

Peter:  I think you are right!  There are as many as a dozen of them at one time so they probably could do it!

Lori:  Wow!  I don't think I would have that much faith in the bear's loyalty!  We put out food for these guys, but not as much or as regularly as they need.

Sally:  They aren't as intimidated by us as they used to be...they hang around for about 1/2 hr. and then move on.  We see them about three times a day this time of year.

Joyce:  I'm sure you enjoy seeing them as much as we do.  We haven't had elk visit yet.

Toni:  They won't be getting invited in, but we do put some corn out for them and they help themselves to the bird feeders on a regular basis.  They don't have to worry about being dinner at our house....they are safe here.

Kathy:  I don't think they are looking for the boys...they tend to get scared off when the boys get excited and bang on the window yelling "Dee, Dee, Deeee aaarrr" - they are more likely checking to make sure the boys aren't around, lol!

Steve:  I've seen fox, but happy to report no moose or bear.

Chris:  Oh we still have plenty of snow...picture was taken just a couple days ago!

Peg:  Well let's hope it doesn't figure out how!

Heather:  Wonder what your cats would think about these guys?

Lydie:  They are probably members of the same group that were here that day, but this is another day.  We don't usually see them this close, looking right in the window!

Sharon - Beautiful they are, but most likely they are looking to wreck havoc on your landscaping. Great photos!

Sharon, great photo! They must love to eat in your garden ;). I have enough trouble keep up with the racoons, skunks, squirrels etc. We did have our hawk this morning looking for brunch ...

Judy K:  I'm sure they weren't expecting someone to show up with a camera.  Although they should be used to it by now!

Judy J:  We've been pretty lucky so far this year.  We have had a problem in the past, though.

Andrew:  Thank you!  I had some trouble coming up with the caption, so I appreciate that!

Tatyana:  I bet they are adorable!

Ralph:  They are desperate for food and they are getting used to us, so they don't scare as easily as they used to.  We can actually open our slider and they don't run away unless we step outside...even then they don't run too far.

Janice:  At least they don't kill other animals like the hawk does.  That is always sad to see.

You're right Sharon. Morning Dove is their favorite I'm afraid. When the hawk swoops over everybody heads for cover. At that point I'd rather have Bambi ;).

Janice:  We've had some morning dove casualty in our yard too.

Lou:  Poor things are finding it tough to find food this time of year.

Roger:  They are so enjoyable to watch.  We don't see much of them in the Summer, so it's nice to see them now.

Sharon---This would break me.  I would have to buy enough food for them which means I probably would not have money left to buy food for my family.  How beautiful, but how heartbreaking!  We have deer very close, but they do not venture into our yards....

Sharon, this made me laugh as soon as I opened your post....... now, are these creatures hanging around all year long, or are they down from the high country due to deep snows? So funny how they are looking RIGHT at you..... thanks for sharing!  Lifted my spirit!

Pat:  My neighbor feeds them regularly, but we don't do as good a job.  We put out bird seed and some corn, but not as much as they would like.  I can't keep up with them!

Teri:  We see a lot of them now, but hardly see them at all late Spring to early Fall.  Glad you enjoyed the pictures!
