Mike Ferry's Thought of the Week - March 7, 2011

How strict is your schedule? How closely do you follow it? Do you even have a productive schedule? Is it a schedule that other people could follow and be productive with?

In looking back over the last 30 years of Speaking/Training/Coaching ... the universal problem for Real Estate people has never changed even an iota. That problem, of course, is the problem of Time Management.

Because we can pretty much do what we want when we want ... if we don't do anything, nobody knows and nobody cares. The only person that should feel real bad about having an unproductive day should be you. But it seems that a lot of you have had so many unproductive days that you've actually gotten used to it, and think it's okay.

If you took the month of March, and you honestly followed the schedule that you should be following, even 50% of each day, what do you think would happen? More importantly, how good would you feel about yourself and what you're doing?

I challenge you all to step up to the plate and say to yourself ... "I've got 10 great months ahead of me for this year. Why don't I just maximize my schedule each day, so I can end up with the best year of my life in 2011?"

Are you up to the challenge of the discipline? Are you up to the challenge of having your best year ever? Only time will tell on both questions.

Mike you are always right on target!  Time management and being disciplined to work a schedule are hard to do but certainly can pay big dividends.
