Thomas the Tank Engine is Coming to Maryland!

Thomas the Tank Engine (Via Flickr, using a Creative Commons License from MarkyBon)All Aboard!  Thomas the Tank Engine is coming to Maryland!

Seriously, no joke, he's coming to the Baltimore Railroad Museum April 29-May 1 and again May 6-8.  Tickets are available now for a 25-minute train ride on a full size Thomas the Tank Engine and a chance to meet Sir Topham Hatt, followed by storytelling, live music, and megablocks.

When I told my son and daughter-in-law about this visit, they went online right away for tickets and found some times already sold out.  But they were able to get tickets for early on that first weekend, and they invited Grandma and Grandpa to come along for the day with Thomas and the grandkids.

It will be my first ride on Thomas and my first visit ever to the Baltimore Railroad Museum, so I'm looking forward to it and promise to take photos and blog about it.

Get your tickets while there are still several days and times available.  Just click on Thomas the Tank Engine in Maryland.  The Baltimore Railroad Museum is only 35 minutes from Crofton.

Wow, my sons would go berserk about this. My house is a living tribute to Awdry's work. Too bad it isn't a little closer so we could attend.

What fun...I love train museums and the like. When I lived in Valley Forge we often went out to Lancaster and took the train out there and visited the train museum, my son's favorite thing to do.

I felt my daughter was too young when it came to Austin last year, but I'm going to make sure to catch a ride this time around when it comes in September.

My son loved Thomas The Tank cartoon when he was younger along with Bob the Builder. Great family fun.

Really good post! My son and I had the opportunity to ride on Thomas the Train two years ago when they came to Fillmore, Ca.  He absolutely loved it!

It's nice to see blogs posted about local events.
