Historic White City in midtown Tulsa

White City in midtown Tulsa was originally a dairy farm built by Pennsylvania native, Glenn Braden and it was so named because of the color of the buildings and silos built there. After Braden’s death, his children closed the dairy, platted the land and began selling lots.

Targeted at Tulsa’s middle class, the White City addition offered modern suburban acreage. Map of White City - midtown Tulsa real estate A focus of the neighborhood is Braden Park, which has been there since the origin of the division. Covering almost ten acres, Braden Park’s main feature is a large pond with a cement walk, fountain in the center, three fountains and ducks. Fishing is permitted. Larry, what nice things to say - thank you! That photo was taken at our February 2011 Awards banquet, and my head is on leaning on my favorite husband's shoulder!  :=)

Judi - thank you so much my friend. Can't tell you how many times I took my Goddaughter to Braden Park in White City - she loved the water feature and of course, we fed the ducks in the pond!!

Lori, White City sounds and looks like many of the charming neighborhoods in my hometown and a few here in Jacksonville. I think you have named a style of home that I have wondered what it was for years! "Tudor Revival" - I love this style home. My aunt lived in one, but I never knew what it was called. Makes sense now that I think about it, because the ones I see have the brown boards with white trim, like regular Tudor homes. You made my day :)

BTW love your new profile pic - it's fun!

I just love learning how this historic areas became residential neighborhoods. White City sounds like a great family place to live with such cute homes. If most of the homes are brick built they'll be around for a long time to come.

Sharon - thank you - Tudor Revival is one of my favorite architectural styles!

Corinne - our historic homes are what makes midtown Tulsa so charming - you will have to come visit sometime. And White City has the best park in Tulsa, in my opinion. It was my Goddaughter's fav place to play in the water park and feed the ducks!!
